Home Chamber Committees Education Scholarship
The Chamber is pleased to award graduating students continuing at a post-secondary institution with an annual scholarship in partnership with UCFV and an annual bursary in partnership with the Abbotsford Foundation.

 

Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Scholarship at the University College of the Fraser Valley is available to members and/or immediate family members of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce or Abbotsford Chamber employees and/or their immediate family members.

Amount:  $500 (two available)

Stipulations:  This award will be based on high academic standing and a letter of support from at least one member of the Abbotsford Chamber.  Recipients must be continuing students enrolled in three or more courses in any UCFV credit program.  Recipient must be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant.

Applications must contain the following:
- a statement confirming status of Chamber membership (of family relationship) available from the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce.
- at least one letter of support from an Abbotsford Chamber Member demonstrating the applicant's appreciation and understanding of the importance of  business to our community.
- a statement of the applicant's educational and career goals.

Applications will be submitted to the UCFV Financial Aid Services office with full documentation.  The recipient will be chosen by the UCFV Awards Selection Committee based on the above criteria.

The deadline is May 10.

Abbotsford Chamber/Abbotsford Foundation Bursary:  1 @ $1000

This annual bursary is awarded to a graduating student from the Abbotsford School District (including private schools within the boundaries) the recipients must be proceeding to a Canadian post secondary institution, graduate with a GPA of a C+ or better and be a Canadian citizen.
Preference may be given to a child of a Chamber of Commerce member, or in the case of a student membership, to a Chamber of Commerce member.
