Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) seeks to build a community of empowerment and support for women in business. This dynamic network is dedicated to fostering leadership, providing mentorship, and creating opportunities for professional growth among women in the business community.

Chair

Kim Tamminga is an Aviation and Aerospace professional that is focused on developing talent for all industries by working to introduce a new apprenticeship model that provides a win/win for industry and talent. Prior, Kim used her Human Resources education to focus on Learning and Organizational Development with an emphasis on working with organizations experiencing major change and a large human impact. A tireless advocate for enabling women in the workplace, Kim sits as Chair on the Women’s Leadership Council with the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce and also Chairs the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for the Aircraft and Gas Turbine Mechanic Programs at BCIT. Passionate about the potential of the Fraser Valley, Kim proudly calls Abbotsford home and enjoys the benefit of working in the city she loves.
Lisa Huppee

Lisa owns six locations of Just Like Family Home Care with four in the Lower Mainland and two on Vancouver Island. She is celebrating 5 years of business this year. Lisa is married and has a pack of Yorkies/ office puppies and two adult children. She also chairs the the Better Business Bureau in the Lower Mainland and enjoys painting, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Stephanie is a multi-faceted professional with experience in a variety of industries including sales, childcare, and finance. Her tact and skill have allowed her to thrive in her current role as the Operations Manager for a local Abbotsford physiotherapy clinic with two locations. Passionate about leadership and education, Stephanie strives to establish systems that support growth by encouraging dialogue with her peers. In her free time, Stephanie loves to bake, listen to music, and watch horror movies
Carli Williams

Carli is an Investment Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities. As an advisor, she is passionate about bringing financial empowerment to women of all ages. She works with individuals and businesses to manage their wealth, through investment advice, succession planning, tax planning, risk management, business valuation, philanthropy and more. Carli was born and raised in the Fraser Valley and resides on a hobby farm with her husband, Paul, and two young boys. She raises sheep and chickens, grow cut flowers, and are endlessly entertained by their naughty goats, llama and miniature horse. Throughout her personal and professional career, Carli has developed a keen appreciation and understanding for agriculture, for community, and for the importance of family. She tries to live by the saying, "if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to far, go together". There is an abundance of opportunity in our community to go far, together.

Sarah De Klein is the Director of Philanthropy for the Fraser Valley Healthcare Foundation. As a member of the Women's Leadership Council and Chair of the Advocacy Committee at the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, Sarah believes in the importance of empowering women and girls through quality career guidance education and mentorship programs. She is passionate about creating pathways to success and inspiring young women and girls to be leaders. Additionally, Sarah is keenly interested in women's health and improving access to healthcare tailored to women's needs. With an MBA and extensive global experience in both the corporate and entrepreneurial world, Sarah brings a unique perspective to the diverse community she lives in. Community and service are at the heart of her work, and she takes great pride in living and working in the Fraser Valley. Her commitment to fostering a dynamic and supportive culture in the region is evident in all she does. Sarah's leadership and advocacy continue to inspire and uplift those around her.
Yovini Moodley

Yovini is an experienced and highly accomplished Business Executive, who brings a broad cross section of skills and perspectives, from; Over 15 years of success in key leadership roles within local and multinational CPGs across various categories, including Dairy, Beverages, and Pharmaceutical. She currently serves as the Snr. Director of Marketing for Fraserway RV. International business experience working across a diversity of cultures, which has helped her to learn how to embrace diversity of thought and experience to create innovative solutions when problem solving. Cross functional skills with high depth of experience and qualifications in Marketing, Finance and Business Administration. As a leader she is collaborative, inclusive and influential, with the ability to uncover potential in both businesses and people to drive vision and strategic direction. She is also a wife, and doting mum to her 2 daughters, Saranya (15) and Vy (12). In her spare time Yovini enjoys cooking and entertaining as well as being out in nature enjoying God’s beautiful creation.

Adaptive Soccer Lead / Coach / Assistant Administrator for Abbotsford Soccer Association Amanda was born and raised in the Fraser Valley inside of high school gyms and front and centre of senior girls basketball. Being a child of a head coach who volunteered all his time and energy into young female athletes is what has inspired her to continue her work in youth athletics. Developing an Adaptive Soccer program in Abbotsford for Neurodiverse children is just the beginning of her journey to making sure soccer is accessible to all. Being a part of female athletics and coach development is an essential element of making sure we provide a community full of strong women who continue to give back for future generations. Amanda’s innate passion for building community, team work, and a firm foundational belief that women belong in sports is what drives her to achieve a successful career and build relationships in and around athletics for all.

Erin has been in the banking industry for the past 23 years, starting as a part time teller working her way to Manager. Her and her Fiancé are empty nesters, moving from Salt Spring Island in 2021 after their daughter graduated from high school. She is looking forward to sharing her leadership skills with the women in her community!
Jasmine Bhambra

Jasmine is a residential builder/designer, real estate professional, and entrepreneur. She is also a dedicated community builder for United Way of BC, where she focuses on forging impactful connections and collaborations to build healthy and inclusive communities. Beyond her professional pursuits, Jasmine is a keynote speaker and serves as the Vice President of the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association and Vice President of the Punjabi Mutiyaraan Women’s Society.
Harpreet Khangura

Harpreet's journey in Canada began in 2011 when she immigrated as a student from India. Since then, she has accumulated over a decade of experience in IT, technical support and customer service. In 2021, she decided to expand her professional horizons by obtaining her mortgage broker license. Today, she works alongside her husband in the real estate and mortgage industry, helping people navigate the complexities of the home buying process and financing. Combining her professional expertise with a commitment to mentorship, she is hopeful to support and inspire other women to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship and succeed in their endeavours through the Women's Leadership Council. Actively involved in the community, she tends to bring women together to create a supportive network, fostering collaboration and mutual growth. Grateful for the support around her, she uses her experiences to give back and uplift others. Harpreet is so happy to call Abbotsford home, where she lives with her husband, two beautiful daughters and family.
Sara Albert

Sara Tebbutt Albert was raised in Abbotsford. She is a proud graduate of W.J. Mouat Highschool’s French Immersion Programme and long-time Abbotsford Whaler. Sara completed law school at the University of Alberta in the top of her class and then worked in Alberta for a number of years before returning to her Abbotsford roots in 2020. She founded Albert & Co. Law in 2023. The law firm has seen significant growth in its first year, growing from two people to a team of ten, with plans to continue growing. Albert & Co. Law is a full-service law firm with a focus on Wills, Estates, Trusts, Probate and Estate Litigation. Sara practices primarily estate litigation. Sara is an active member of the Abbotsford business community and is driven to support other women in business. Sara sits on the board of the Downtown Abbotsford Business Association and the Estate Litigation Committee of the Trial Lawyers Association. She is also a proud member of the Canadian Bar Association. When she isn’t working, or organizing golf lessons for female professionals, you can find Sara spending time with her husband, two kids, and big fluffy dog.”

Naomi Pisio is an accomplished and dynamic professional with extensive experience in the banking industry. Throughout her career, Naomi has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a keen understanding of the financial landscape. As a Senior Branch Manager at one of the largest Scotiabank branches in the BC & Yukon region, she has successfully managed teams and guided clients in achieving their financial goals. Her expertise lies in developing innovative strategies, fostering strong relationships, and delivering outstanding customer service. With a strong belief in diversity and inclusion, Naomi uses her voice to advocate for minority groups. Also understanding the unique challenges that women face in the industry, she is committed to providing mentorship, support, and networking opportunities for female professionals. Naomi is a strong advocate of the Scotiabank Women’s Initiative which aims to empower women by breaking down barriers to help increase economic and professional opportunities for women to be successful. Her passion for making a positive impact has earned her recognition and respect among her peers and community.
