(Abbotsford, B.C.) Jan 23rd, 2026 – Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce CEO, Alex Mitchell was recognized as a recipient of ‘The West 20’ by these Western Canada Economic Forum.
This award recognizes 20 impactful business, government, community, and indigenous leaders who are contributing to economic growth across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Having served the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce for nearly 3 years as CEO, Alex was nominated for her leadership in regional advocacy, being a bold champion for the Fraser Valley including investments into Highway 1 and critical flood mitigation infrastructure to protect Canada’s most productive agricultural land. She has represented Abbotsford businesses in globally and chairs the Fraser Valley Business Coalition, a partnership of Chambers of Commerce from across the region.
The Forum announced the winners at the annual Western Canada Economic Forum Conference which was held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
